Default Deleting emails as they arrive

This is sort of a support question but is more about using cPanel.

Most users on one of my domains use an email client to download and delete their emails, some use web mail, but I have a couple who have an account with a redirect on it. The emails are redirected ok but because they have an account the email also gets saved in there. Eventually the account fills up and senders get reject emails even though the email has already been redirected.

So the question is - is there some configuration I can do that will redirect the email and then delete it? I could delete their account and leave the redirect but then they would not be able to send email from the account. There seem to be settings in the likes of Horde (filters) but I think they only work when a user is running the application.

I've set something similar up for myself in Account Level Filtering...

Create a filter where To = [the@email.address]

then set up the following Actions:

Redirect to email [address to forward to]
Discard Message
Stop Processing rules

Hope this helps!

Sorry. A bit late in saying thanks.

I found it did not work if I added "Stop processing". With just the redirect and discard it worked fine.

Thanks.

I have recently found that this was not working as expected. The filter is set on an email account so it is only that account that is affected but the To could contain text in addition to the email address e.g. "Your Name <your.name@email.co.uk>". This would be the case if the sender selected from an address book. To handle this I have changed the filter to use "contains" instead of "equals".
